Hidden away inside the ACTS Rednaxela Serviced Apartments is Casa, a gem of a private kitchen you may not have discovered yet due to its discreet location (see our review of Casa here). It seats just one party of up to 16 people at its stately dining table, and serves up a selection of modern European menus.
The Pork Menu is for pig lovers, and celebrates the tastiest parts from the loin to the shoulder and of course, the fat. Try out their delectable spaghetti meatball before moving onto the pork crackling salad with apple and candied walnuts. A fish involtini provides a taste of the sea but is anchored to the menu’s theme with its accompaniment of freshly sliced Parma ham, and yet another course of milk braised pork shoulder served with baked apple and mashed potato rounds up the savoury portion of the meal. Dessert calls for apple caramel cake served with vanilla ice cream and an inspired pairing of chorizo.
Casa’s Land and Sea menu included all our favourites, and our first course of celeriac chowder with scallops whetted our appetite for the delicate steak tartar that followed. A lobster foie gras salad led us to the next course of mouth-watering osso bucco served with bone marrow and mashed potato, and a seafood paella and kahlua oreo cheesecake finished up a meal that left us full and satisfied.
A Game and Poultry menu is also available, serving up tantalising goodies including foie gras, slow-braised duck and indulgent rabbit stew. Book now to reserve a night at Casa. Menus range from $650 to $1200 a person, plus 10 per cent service charge.
