Taste Kitchen, Hong Kong’s premier F&B incubator at PMQ, is collaborating with modern Thai grill specialist Fat Legs’ BBQ for a pop-up from February 6 to 24. With help from restaurant consultants Caleb and Joshua Ng of Twins Kitchen, Hong Kong-based Australian-Thai chef Siam Sattayaphan, who has worked at acclaimed restaurants and numerous catering events, will be serving a menu of Thai street food with a distinct focus on grilled dishes. A set lunch is offered at $78 with dishes such as khao soi kai (northern Thai chicken curry noodle soup) and pad see-ew (stir-fried wide rice noodles with pork, soy sauce and Chinese kale). For dinner, items to watch out for include the som dtum ($78), a freshly-pounded papaya salad; and the sai oua ($88), Chiang Mai-style smoked pork sausage. For a more tailored dining experience, opt for a kin khoa – the omakase menu – for $288 per person (for a minimum two persons).
