Discover Fukuoka with NOBU

NOBU is intertwining fine-dining with Japanese local cooking culture to launch 2-4-8 Gourmet Journey of Japan. Running till the end of the year, the journey is headed by executive chef Sean Mell and executive sushi chef Kazunari Araki, and will showcase seasonal produce and ingredients from two local prefectures from the four main islands of Japan (Kyushu, Shikoku, Honshu and Hokkaido) in eight different episodes that will rotate throughout the year.

Kicking off the Japanese journey is “Home to Fukuoka” and will be available from January 16 to February 11. Highlights feature Fukuoka specialities such as Ara sashimi with karashi miso, grilled Saba fillet dressed with kuro goma ponzu, uni gyoza with yuzu pepper mayonnaise and Japanese wagyu with yasai and spicy miso. The menu also features “Fortune Sweet” – a new dessert with cheese, strawberries and basil. A six-course omakase lunch menu ($668) and an eight-course dinner menu ($1,488) are available.
