Located in the heart of Causeway Bay, this vegetarian restaurant features homemade konjac imitation meats utilising ingredients imported from Taiwan. Their menu offers a vast selection of vegetarian dishes, ranging from braised minced mock pork belly on rice to pan-grilled mixed vegetable dumplings.

Within Chi Lin Nunnery, Po Lin Monastery serves MSG-free vegetarian cuisine low in oil, salt, sugar and cholesterol. The experience of dining there, you will find, is rather Zen, with a view of the cascading waterfalls.

Opened by the Hong Kong Movie Star Sports Association Charities Limited, this is the first non-profit-making vegetarian restaurant in Hong Kong. Serving up pure and simple vegetarian food with low salt, low sugar, low oil, no MSG or artificial additives, Happy Veggies’ lunch menu changes daily and is very affordable. It’s also important to note many of the restaurant staff are deaf.

Opened by a pair of Buddhist brothers and their friends, O&S in Kwun Tong serves up fresh, modern vegetarian dishes. The weekday lunch set ($49 and up) is very reasonable. We also recommend the poon choi set for up to 12 people. They also sponsor vegetarian meals for the elderly every week.

Sourcing their organic ingredients from Kang Zhi Yuan Ecological Farm, which enables them to deliver the freshest ingredients to their customers, the restaurant’s signature dishes range from their delicious black truffle sauce fried noodles to sautéed assorted mushroom served in mini pumpkin.

Founded in 2003 by a lay Buddhist, Three Virtues is built on traditional Confucian and Buddhist ideals. With more than 10 elite cooks led by chef Yeung, the restaurant serves superb Chinese vegetarian dishes ranging from steamed-to-order vegetable dim sum to their famous bean curd snacks.
