In 2004, five industry friends set out to create a local bar at West Village that is all about elevating the art of cocktail-making and creating a community for members of the F&B industry where they can hang out after hours following a long work shift. Fast forward 13 years, Employees Only has since been honoured with eight consecutive appearances on the World’s 50 Best Bars list along with many other accolades, as well as opening its first outpost in Singapore, and now in Hong Kong.
The bar’s fame goes beyond its fine concoctions and warm hospitality – Employees Only’s world-class bar program has attracted aspiring bartenders worldwide to earn a spot at the bar. The Hong Kong location will be no different in offering an apprentice program led by beverage director and principal bartender Owen Gibler, one of the founding bartenders at Employees Only Singapore.
Continuing its traditions, Employees Only Hong Kong will be hosting a one-night only sneak preview at Salon No.10 for industry insiders on May 22. But don’t worry, the wait won’t be too long for the rest of us, as the bar is set to officially open in June 2017. Stay tuned for more details.
