Le Pan: Inventive French Fine Dining in Kowloon Bay

Don’t let the location stop you from visiting the newly opened Le Pan, the new French fine dining establishment headed by award-winning Singaporean chef Edward Voon, whose accolades include Rising Chef of the Year and Executive Chef of the Year at Singapore’s World Gourmet Summit in 2008 and 2010 respectively. Expect artfully plated, contemporary French cuisine in a palatial setting of white marble and white leather. Dishes to watch out for include Kristal caviar with botan shrimps and sea urchin served on a bed of crustacean jelly, and the soft boiled egg and cured pork belly in an emulsion of champignon. Also not to be missed are Le Pan’s impressive wine list and homemade bread and butter. Tasting menus of three, four or five courses are available at lunch, and for dinner, five or eight courses.
