Party vibes are strong at Mamasita’s Cantina, one of four new restaurant concepts by ZS Hospitality Group in No.8 Lyndhurst Terrace. At the helm is native Mexican chef Edgar Navarro Vazquez, whose bona fide Mexican street food are served alongside tasty cocktails from the Cuban bar upstairs. Tap your toes to regggaeton beats as you savour mouthwatering delights such as the corn esquites ($78) with roasted corn covered in chilli, lime juice, mayo, cotija cheese and fresh coriander, fish tacos ($88) with Sol beer battered fish, creaming avocado, red onion and chipotle mayo, as well as the guacamole dip ($88) with white truffle oil served with fresh corn tortilla chips. Mamasita’s cocktails are also not to be missed, with our favourite being the Spiky Pisco ($128) – a sweet cocktail with prickly pear infused Pisco, lime, egg water and lavender syrup.
