Parmesan Ice-cream and Suckling Pig on Catalunya’s Winter Tasting Menu 

The weather is finally cooling down, which means our appetite for good food has just increased (again) as we prepare our bodies for hibernation the chilly winter. Catalunya’s executive chef Josep Casas has put together a seven-course winter tasting menu that is sure to delight even the most discerning palate.

In one starter, the savoury liquid nitrogen parmesan cheese ice cream is extremely creamy, while the two crispy cheese biscuits add extra crunch and the dash of lemon jam balances flavour. The signature suckling pig is no doubt the highlight of the menu, cooked in Segovia style and paired with mango tatin to accentuate the tenderness of the meat. We also loved the pre-dessert immensely. The tartness of the yogurt foam pairs perfectly with the beetroot sorbet and sweet rose jelly to prep your palate for its exquisite chocolate dessert.

The menu is priced at $788 per person and is available throughout the winter season. Add $550 for wine pairing, and the special Krug pairings with Grande Cuvée ($1,680) and Rosé ($2,680) are also available.
