Don’t worry if you didn’t make it to Munich’s Oktoberfest this year – the award-winning Marco Polo German Bierfest is back for the 25th year where you can do the ceremonious washing of your lederhosen and dirndl with beer right here in Hong Kong.
Grab a pint of the world-famous German brewery Erdinger Weissbräu, and make a note to try the special edition Erdinger Oktoberfest beer, served at limited quantities and only once a year for the festival. Happy hour runs from 6pm to 7pm daily. Buy one glass of beer with your Octopus card at any beer counters and receive another for free! Be sure to line your stomach with lip smacking German dishes such as roast pork knuckles ($185) and herb-marinated half chicken ($160), then round off the hearty feast with an apple strudel ($85).
You can’t have a party without great music, and this year The Notenhobler Band from Germany will be churning traditional Bavarian tunes for all to let loose and dance!
