When it comes to Japanese mushrooms, there’s enoki and shiitake, and then there’s matsutake. These highly treasured and sought-after mushrooms, which must be picked before the umbrella cap opens to retain its spicy aroma, are very rare and are only available in autumn.
Pure Veggie House is introducing a brand new matsutake menu this autumn that is sure to satisfy even the most discernible palates. We particularly fancy the tea pot steamed matsutake and golden jelly mushroom soup ($138, for one to two persons), as well as the deep-fried matsutake mushroom with spiced salt ($98). Prefer something more filling? The matsutake mushroom steamed rice in a pot ($168) is a must-try
Menu available from September 1 to the end of November.
